if I don't like it, I don't think I'd be able to sell it for near what I paid. I was leaning towards the Sunn until I started checking prices and feeling like it was a bit of a ripoff. But stuff like this doesn't show up in my town hardly. spend a few bucks on grill cloth that I like, and install that.ģ.

Get a fair deal on the Marshall, and put my Vintage 30s in there, and pray that they sound good, and not how they sound in my crapper cab. Overpay for the Sunn, which sounds good, is made in Mexico.

but I still don't want to overpay for something.ġ. You figure I buy on ebay, I'm chucking another $100 on, at least, for shipping. The Marshall, on the other hand, in terms of value, seems to a good deal at $500. Looking on ebay, etc., I just don't think the Sunn is worth nearly $600. He said 'I won't feel bad if it sits here 6 months and then I take it home.' Price on the Marshall is $500 - he won't go lower. Better than the Marshall by a small margin. Second is a mexican made 90s Sunn 412 Model T w/ G12T-75s. Are these truly, as some people lead me to believe, not quite as good as actual V30s? Or are they exactly the same? That might change my decision. Has what I assume are the 'not quite V30' 'Vintage 70w' speakers. It sounds boxy.įirst is a Marshall 1960AV. Mine is a piece of crap particle board job that I've put 4 new Vintage 30s in (last fall). I think the previous thread (V30s sounding boxy) on this subject got to this point once everything is buried, and I need to come to a decision pretty quickly, so I need help.
